Wisconsin Central Railway

General Information The WC main in northern Wisconsin is modeled, ca 1898, as it passes through two small villages and a town with a crew / locomotive change point.  Through freights and passenger runs change locos here.  A local turn handles way freight for the subdivision.

Description: Switching layout with staging and continuous-run option.  Plan style is "sincere"; only one line of track is visible.  Plan is folded dogbone with back side hidden.  
Scale: HO standard gauge
Size of Railroad: 17 x 20 single-level shelf layout around 3 walls with hidden staging;
80 cars including staging
Era: Late 1890's
Completion: Track 75%, Scenery 40%; Electrical: 75%.  
Layout is being expanded as of Thanksgiving, 2010; old layout was cut in two, moved apart, and a new section inserted.  
Control System: Digitrax DCC, radio
